The Airport Waiting Zone at Callerton Parkway (postcode NE13 8DN), next to the Metro station, gives up to 90 minutes' free parking while you wait to pick someone up. A free shuttle runs 24/7: it leaves the Waiting Zone at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour, and the terminal on the hour and half past.

Newcastle's pick-up page doesn't list a Blue Badge concession for the Express car park. Specially adapted disabled vehicles over 2m can use the Minibus/Van car park and pay the Express tariff by speaking to the parking team at the pay machine.

Being dropped off and picked up means your driver does the trip twice each way: four journeys. This adds that up using Newcastle's own charges.
